Job Description:

Retail-based Software Development firm seeking candidate for a full-stack developer position with a focus on User Interface and User Experience. Candidates should have classroom and/or on-the-job experience with Microsoft family of development languages (VB.NET, SQL Server, etc.) as well as a strong familiarity with client-side languages (HTML, JavaScript, CSS).

Retail Backbone (www.retailbackbone.com) is a web application designed to integrate eCommerce and brick/mortar operations for online retailers such as Moosejaw Mountaineering (www.moosejaw.com). We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic developer to train and evolve within our casual work-from-home team. Candidate will work directly with experienced software developers on real-world projects to get invaluable on the job experience.

WORK FROM ANYWHERE: Our existing team of developers are spread throughout the country, and all development meetings are conducted via web conference, so location is not an issue – you can work from home, a coffee shop, or on the beach. If you have a laptop, reliable internet connection and the talent – we are interested.

In this position, you will be responsible for the full life-cycle development in a fast-paced environment, implementing solutions in Microsoft SQL Server 2014, Enterprise Edition and VB.NET. Working under the direct supervision of a seasoned software developer, new developers will be assigned project work for our existing clients and for internal product development initiatives.

• Create and consume RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with API documentation (e.g. Postman)
• Familiarity with wireframing and mockup tools (e.g. Balsamiq)
• Classroom and/or on-the-job experience in the Microsoft suite of development platforms
• Documentation skills for processes and procedures (creating knowledge base articles, etc.)
• Capable of managing responsibilities independently
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Most be accountable, organized, innovative and motivated; job requires detailed logging of all project work for billing and knowledge base
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

Salary range: $60K - $70K. In addition to our generous starting salary, we also offer flexible scheduling, telecommunication reimbursement, and paid time-off.
